With this campaign, my team and I successfully leveraged the power of influencer marketing, digital technology, and content to create a highly engaging and cost-effective promotion that resonated with the target audience and achieved multiple marketing objectives.

The Objective

The team’s objectives were to increase brand awareness, engage online engagement, and drive traffic to the company’s website and product pages.

The Strategy

We leveraged our influencers’ creativity and reach to showcase virtual renovations using the company’s products. We were interested in demonstrating the transformative power of the brand’s offerings without the need for physical product placement.

The Key Elements

  1. Influencer Selection – This campaign partnered with home decor and lifestyle influencers with strong engagement rates. The chosen influencers’ audiences aligned with our target demographic.
  2. Virtual Renovation Challenge – The influencers were tasked with designing a virtual makeover for a room in their home, a client’s home, or any other potential space.
  3. Product Selection – Our selected influencers browsed the company’s catalog to select products for their makeover. They chose from appliances, lighting, sinks, faucets, hardware, and flooring.
  4. CGI Visualization – The influencers collaborated with the business’ CGI team to create stunning before and after images of the renovated spaces, incorporating the selected products.

5. Content Creation – Each influencer created a blog post, reel, and/or Instagram story showcasing their virtual renovation process and final results. These posts were created for their specific audiences, while referencing the business’ products.

6. SEO Optimization – Our team worked with their provided content to develop articles. We carefully researched keywords to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic to our content.

7. Product Page Development – Our team created dedicated “Shop the Look” pages for each influencer’s design. The pages design made it easy for the influencers’ followers to purchase the featured products.

8. Multi-Channel Promotion – Our team distributed the campaign content across all social media platforms, email marketing, paid ads, and other digital marketing channels.

9. Influencer Cross-Posting – We encouraged influencers to share their makeovers on their own social media channels. We were interested in expanding the campaign’s reach.

Our Results

It’s interesting to note that we initially pitched this as a Pinterest campaign. While planning, we realized the full revenue and brand-awareness potential. We covered much more than just Pinterest, earning much better, broader results.

  1. Increased Engagement – The campaign generated significant buzz. Our followers were actively commenting, sharing, and discussing the virtual makeovers.
  2. Website Traffic Boost – The business saw significant click-through traffic to the website, the article, and the “Shop the Look” product pages from multiple social media sources.
  3. Brand Awareness – The campaign’s wide reach introduced the brand to new potential customers through the influencers’ networks.
  4. Cost-Effective – By relying on digital assets instead of physical products, the campaign achieved impressive results with minimal costs.
  5. Earned Media Success – The creative concept behind the campaign led to other home decor and lifestyle spaces creating more articles and social posts about the challenge, extending the audience reach.
  6. SEO Improvements – The optimized content helped improve search engine rankings for the targeted keywords related to the business’ home renovation product categories.
  7. Sales Impact – With expanded reach across so many channels, the campaign led to a noticeable uptick in sales of the featured products.
